First of all, on behalf of myself and Dave, I want to welcome you to the Blog for Panchira Pictures. This blog will not only contain a peek in the life of Dave and I as Outlaw Auteurs, but also rants about films and the film industry.
Second, although Dave doesn’t believe in it, you can now friend us on Myspace!!
Right now, Dave, Mike, Mandie and I are ramping up to our participation in the 48 Hour Film Project at the end of July. This weekend we will be attending open auditions for actors at the Fleur Cinema and Cafe. Tuesday 17 July at 5:30pm we will be holding our first meeting of the year at Billy Joe’s Lounge. Next weekend will be the “48 Hour Soundtrack Project”, where we will attempt to compose and record music for a film we know nothing about!
I know I am VERY excited about the prospects for this year and look forward to making more films in the future.
Thanks for stopping by,
Larry

Welcome to the brand-fucking new panchirapictures.com site! Here you will find everything you want to know about the wankers and their films. Well, film as of right now, but look for that to change in the coming weeks.
There may be a few rough edges for now, but things will be being tweaked for a bit. Future enhancements will likely include a message forum and a picture gallery of some sort.
Anywho, enjoy and please share your comments and your comment spam. OK, not so much with the comment spam.

Shot the weekend of 2006-07-29 for the 48 Hour Film Project. We called ourselves Space Monkey Mafia back then. Trouble is there were a lot of people calling themselves Space Monkey Mafia, including another filmmaker. So we became Panchira Pictures. So that’s what’s up with that.
There are just a few things I’m not completely happy with in this “film”. The “We came today…” should have come before the “Space Monkey Mafia presents” title. Don’t believe we didn’t catch that in editing. Wish I would have cut the bars and tone and whatnot before going to Google Video, but oh well.
All of the music went in at the last possible moments, and even the recording was incredibly rushed. It all came out wonderfully despite the lack of preparedness, entirely thanks to Mike’s badass musicianship.
I keep threatening to do a directors cut of this just to fix the order on those opening titles and change Space Monkey Mafia to Panchira Pictures, but I probably never will. Maybe when we put out the Special Edition DVD.
